FAQ
What is the maximum video resolution of this Hikvision camera?
The camera supports a maximum video resolution of 2688 x 1520 pixels at 30 frames per second. This 4-megapixel resolution provides clear, detailed imagery suitable for identifying faces, license plates, and other critical details in surveillance footage.
How far does the night vision reach, and is it in color?
Night vision is effective up to 49.21 feet (15 meters) and delivers color imagery in low-light conditions. This color night vision enhances identification accuracy compared to traditional black-and-white infrared, making it useful for scenarios where color details matter during nighttime monitoring.
Is this camera suitable for outdoor installation?
Yes, it is designed for outdoor use with an IP67 ingress protection rating, meaning it is dust-tight and can withstand temporary immersion in water. Additionally, it features corrosion-resistant and explosion-proof construction, allowing reliable operation in harsh environments like industrial sites or coastal areas.
What power options does the camera support?
The camera accepts both Power over Ethernet (PoE) and 12V DC power inputs. PoE simplifies installation by delivering power and data over a single Ethernet cable, while the 12V DC option provides flexibility in locations without PoE network switches.
What is the field of view provided by the 2.8 mm lens?
The fixed 2.8 mm lens offers a wide field of view: 98.5° horizontally, 52.8° vertically, and 116.2° diagonally. This broad coverage is ideal for monitoring large areas such as parking lots, warehouses, or building perimeters with fewer cameras.
