    Once the Datacard ribbon is loaded into the CD820 printer, the printer driver automatically adjusts its settings to match the ribbon type. This ensures the best possible image quality on the cards. The CD820 printer and supplies collectively track ribbon consumption and notify you of an upcoming ribbon replacement.

    Boost productivity by reducing waste

    The CD820 printer technology saves more ribbon so you can eliminate waste and reduce supplies costs. When printing with genuine Datacard monochrome panel ribbons, the printer advances the ribbon to the appropriate length needed. Datacard color panel ribbons save one complete panel set during each initialization, while Datacard monochrome ribbons can potentially double and triple the standard yield.

    Combined with the CD820 printer's industry-leading print speeds of up to 220 full-color, one-sided cards per hour, you can issue more cards per hour while reducing ribbon waste.

    The Datacard biodegradable ribbon cores are made with EcoPure® additive to help you reduce your impact on the environment. These new cores offer the same life cycle, performance and reliability as the previous model without adding waste to landfills.

    Quality and sharpness of printed cards is dramatically improved with optimized print ribbons and user-adjustable image and color controls. New TrueMatchTM color management emulates the Internet standard sRGB color space to better match on-screen colors to colors printed on the card, reducing the hassle of manual color adjustment. Combine this new technology with the CD820 printer's industry-leading print resolutions of up to 300 x 1200 dpi to reproduce fine text and bar codes as crisp and brilliant as they appear on your screen.

    Enterprise quality without complexity

    Using Datacard supplies with your user-friendly CD820 printer greatly reduces the amount of time spent installing and maintaining your printer.

    When a new ribbon is needed, the CD820 printer alerts you with an illuminated icon on the soft-touch display panel. The reloadable supply cartridge includes both printer ribbon and drop-in cleaning roller, and loads conveniently into the top of the printer without the need for adjustments. Simply open the printer cover, replace the print ribbon and cleaning sleeve and continue printing.

    Regular cleaning operations can keep your CD820 card printer and your workday running smoothly. Datacard Group offers cleaning supplies designed specifically for maintaining your printer, helping to prevent mishandled cards, diminished image quality or damaged printheads.

    All ribbons are packaged as a kit and include one adhesive cleaning sleeve and one isopropanol cleaning card. Additional cleaning supplies can be ordered separately if more frequent cleaning is required.
