This converter consists of a VGA input, a 3.5mm audio input and a HDMI output. It is used to convert a VGA analog video and an analog audio signal to a digital HDMI signal. A typical application would be to connect a computer or laptop with an analog video card to a HDMI display. Power to the unit is supplied through a USB micro-B port which can be plugged into a PCs USB port or directly to a wall outlet via the USB charger provided with the unit.
